The Collaborative is a community of practice for members, as well as the larger public health and healthcare community. We organize and support the learning activities and services listed below. Some activities and services are restricted to members, while some are open to the public or may require a registration fee.

Discussion Groups

Members only.

  • Healthcare tobacco quality measures (e.g. Meaningful Use and Joint Commission measures).
  • Tobacco control programs working effectively with healthcare systems.
  • Rapidly evolving federal policies likely to increase access to cessation services.

The Collaborative holds conferences to share member work and accomplishments and to dialogue with policymakers. Click here to view the proceedings from past conferences. Technical Assistance 

For members free-of-charge. Available to non-members on fee basis.

The Collaborative coordinates member-to-member consultation and technical assistance and provides expert consultation to non-members on a fee basis on a range of strategy, policy and technical topics. Click here for sample topics.  Our senior scientist can also provide technical assistance to state agencies and healthcare delivery systems on linking tobacco interventions to health outcomes using large claims or encounter data sets. Training Programs

Available to members and non-members on fee basis.

The Collaborative staff and members offer custom presentations and trainings on a fee basis for state tobacco control programs, healthcare providers and delivery systems, and advocacy organizations. Click here for sample topics.
